Cinema 4D is a professional 3D animation, modeling, simulation and rendering software solution. Fast, powerful, flexible, and stable, this powerful toolset makes 3D workflows more accessible and efficient for design, motion graphics, VFX, AR/MR/VR, game development, and all types of visualization.
What's New
Earlier this year, Cinema 4D 2026.2 introduced new features including a Fabric Brush and expanded Cinema 4D to Windows on Arm (WoA) devices, enabling artists to take advantage of power-efficient tablets and laptops to create on the go.
Cinema 4D 2026.3 adds a revamped UV Editor that makes UV editing approachable and powerful. It allows artists to handle every aspect of UV creation and adjustment right inside of their favorite 3D software. Particle properties can now be created and adjusted in a dedicated manager for complete control. And the new Edge, Rivet, and UV Projection Distributions for the MoGraph Cloner allow for precise placement of clones on edges, along the outline of polygons, and on the surface of objects based on their UVs.
Unleash a storm of creativity with Cinema 4D Particles and Liquids!
Design particle simulations intuitively with Cinema 4D Particles! Integration with C4D’s Unified Simulation system allows artists to control emission patterns, modify behaviors precisely, and orchestrate interactions with Maxon’s collection of simulation types, including Pyro, Cloth, soft bodies, and rigid bodies. Thanks to the improved integration with the MoGraph toolset, emitters and forces can be duplicated easily via the Cloner. Users also gain more control over particle attraction around the surface of objects, as well as collision and color of particles emitted from other particles. Custom properties and the Particle Node Modifier allow for precise control over particle behavior, enabling users to fine-tune their simulation.
Thanks to Emission Density Control, Maxon Noises, Fields, and Vertex Maps can be used to define exactly where and how many particles are going to be created. Many Particle Modifiers offer new Custom Property output options to store data, such as neighbor count, chasing/fleeing state or distance to antagonist for predator/prey particles. And thanks to Viewport Handles, you can now interactively control emitter shapes and velocity directly in the Viewport, without the need to find the respective parameters in the Attribute Manager!
The Particle Property Manager offers an improved workflow for using particle data. It makes simulation properties instantly visible and editable, allowing artists to easily understand which properties exist and adapt their setups accordingly.
Cinema 4D features powerful Liquid Simulations, designed to take your motion graphics or product and VFX shots to the next level. These simulations are deeply integrated with our Particle System and share the same workflows and support all the forces, modifiers, and conditions. Artists can seamlessly switch between particle and fluid behavior and back. Liquids can bidirectionally interact with other simulation types such as rigid body, soft body or cloth. Both the liquid solver and mesher run on the GPU for maximum performance. Properties such as viscosity, surface tension, and more can be controlled to define how a liquid behaves, allowing artists to simulate water, honey, lava, or other fluid types – and even transition between them. A dedicated Liquid Fill Emitter can be used to fill any object with liquid, while the Liquid Flow Emitter for continuous emission is ideal for simulating faucets, hoses or fountains. In addition, the Liquify Modifier can be used to turn any particle into a liquid for maximum flexibility.
On the move!
With the Cinema 4D MoGraph toolset, motion graphics artists can sink their teeth into a palette of powerful tools that make it easy to create everything from flying logos to abstract effects. Clone numerous objects and create extruded text with just a few simple clicks. Add Effectors to the mix and put everything in motion, and much more - often without creating a single keyframe! All this is perfectly integrated into Cinema 4D and offers a fast and easy workflow. All functions are completely interactive and non-destructive.
Cloner
At the heart of MoGraph is a powerful yet simple Cloner tool.
You can easily create live copies of any object - arranged along a line, circle, grid, object or spline.
Object clones can be placed along points, edges, polygon centers or randomly across the surface of an object. Adjust keyframe parameters to modify clone count, spacing and more.
Or easily create a stack of objects, distribute them on a landscape and more. A built-in browser allows you to explore our set of new and advanced, ready-made distributions for the Cloner and quickly find the one you want. From distributing objects of varying sizes along a spline without overlaps to arranging clones in a pyramid or on a hexagonal 2D grid, these options will allow for more creative possibilities than ever before. The Scene Nodes system lets advanced users create custom distributions with hundreds of nodes available to help them integrate their vision – creativity has no limits.
The Perfect Arrangement
Built on the same foundation as the Cinema 4D Viewport, the redesigned UV Editor allows artists to handle the complete UV workflow from seam marking to UDIM packing without leaving Cinema 4D.
Seams Tool
Draw, refine, and remove seams interactively in the 3D or UV viewport.
Smart Auto Unwrap
Get clean, production-ready UV islands in one click, with full controls to relax, unfold, and pin vertices for precise adjustments.
Zero Overlap Packing
Move straight to texturing with confidence. Pack hundreds of islands in seconds with a guaranteed clean result. No manual fixes, no overlap errors slipping through.
Full UDIM Support
Organize hero assets exactly the way you need. A visual tile grid with drag-and-drop organization, standardized naming, and multi-tile operations and texel density matching included, across tile boundaries.
Redshift Hex Tiling
This seamless tiling method for textures simplifies visualization workflows by quickly and easily breaking up unnatural repetition on broad, flat surfaces including concrete, plaster, or fabric. Hex Tiling can be easily applied in just a few clicks. No masking required, it allows for more organic materials across large surfaces without worrying about tedious prep work.
Visions Take Shape in Cinema 4D
Polygons are the building blocks of 3D, stitched together to create the objects of your imagination. With Cinema 4D’s complete polygonal modeling toolset, it’s easy to craft everything from cars to creatures.
