Update 1 is much more than just bug fixes. Our R&D team has enhanced and added to the IDE, improved security, added more demos, improved menu creation for VCL and Windows 10, increased deployment support for iOS 9 and OS X, added more features to FireDAC, the REST client library and now installs with the latest version of Java.

Here are new features and capabilities Update 1 offers:

IDE

The IDE now supports C++ code formatting

The IDE now uses HTTPS to connect to the community site, handle community login and communicate with the remote server

Additional high DPI support for the IDE

VCL

Improved drawing of main menu and form borders, under Windows 10, for VCL styled applications

Styled common dialogs now support local menus

Security

AppAnalytics connections use HTTPS instead of plain HTTP adding an additional layer of security

Demos

More how-to demos have been added to the 10 Seattle repository

Operating Systems

The IDE and PAServer offers additional support to deployment of apps on iOS 9 (including better handling of Apple Transport Security feature)

PAServer offer additional support to deployment of apps on OS X El Capitan

AppTethering

The AppTethering encryption hooks have been significantly reworked and improved

FireDAC

There have been improvements to the FDMemTable FireDAC component, for better ClientDataSet behavior compatibility

REST Client Library

The REST client library now supports passing empty URL parameters in TRestClient calls

Increased compatibility with previous DataSnap client behavior

Java

The installation will now install the latest version of Java (Java 8) as a pre-requisite, if the Java runtime is not found on the target system
