The Hamburg-based software company Simufact Engineering announce new version simulation Simufact.welding. Providing more functionality for a broader scope of application while offering a simplified usability - thatВґs the credo of the new software versions that employed for the design and optimization of manufacturing techniques in metal processing.

With the new Simufact software releases, companies aiming to link various production processes in the process chain (from semi-finished material to finished component) have come closer to their goal of an integrated, cross-process approach in the simulation of entire process chains.

Bug fixes in version 3.1.1:

Many changes have been made to improve the calculation stability:

- Fixed memory leak for large models
- During cooling analysis: convergence search only for increasing time
steps
- Reference nodes for clamping tools have temperature boundary

Furthermore:

- Export of multi-phase materials to *.JMT Format without default phase
- Exchange of transformation data for steels. New data starts at a smaller
austenite grain size.
- Assignment of boundary identifier (BID) for Weldsim solver
- Fixed crashes during movie creation
