dbExpress is a database-independent layer that defines common interface to provide fast access to InterBase and Firebird from Delphi and C++Builder including Community Edition on Windows and macOS for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. For these servers, dbExpress provides a driver as an independent library that implements the common dbExpress interface for processing queries and stored procedures. As data-access layer is thin and simple, dbExpress provides high performance database connectivity and is easy to deploy. You can use our driver in the same way as the one supplied by Embarcadero.

Before SciChart was created, most chart components used default graphics libraries (provided by the Operating system) to draw charts, which resulted in poor performance when charting more than a few thousand datapoints. While most applications don’t need to show thousands or millions of data-points, some do. When SciChart v1 was created in 2012 there were no WPF Charts in the world which used Hardware Acceleration and most were limited to a few thousand points at most. This meant creating scientific or realtime charting applications was simply impossible.
