Embarcadero Technologies (recently acquired by IDERA), a leading provider of software solutions for application development, has released first update the 10.1 versions of RAD Studio, C++Builder and Delphi. Berlin Update 1 consists of new features, enhancements and bug fixes. In March, Embarcadero announced its strategy to focus product and engineering resources exclusively on the developer tools market. The 10.1 Berlin release, which is being launched globally today at a live event in Berlin, Germany, embodies this strategy shift.

Eyeshot includes a full assortment of entity types, including curves, polyhedral meshes, surfaces, solids and point clouds. Modeling tools include triangulation and meshing, boolean operations, curve and surfaces trim/fillet/offset/intersection and surface reconstruction from point clouds. Support for standard CAD formats allows geometry import/export. The product is easy to deploy: a couple of managed, strongnamed assemblies. Assemblies can be distributed using XCopy or the global assembly cache.
