Pulse can be used in two different ways and thus installation will vary slightly based on which method you choose. You can use Pulse to add CMS capabilities to an existing website OR you can choose to use the included frontend template to quickly deploy a complete site.

First, set permissions on the “data” folder inside pulsepro to 755 recursively. This means permissions need to set for the folder itself as well as all files and folders inside of it. For example, in the popular FTP client Transmit, you set the permissions by number then click “Apply” and “Apply to Enclosed” to set permissions on the entire data folder. Then repeat this for the file “includes/config.php”. This procedure may vary depending on what FTP client you use.
