The largest and best improvement to Delphi’s code tooling in many years, RAD Studio 10.4 provides Code Insight using a Delphi implementation of the Language Server Protocol (LSP). LSP is a technique for calculating results for code completion, navigation, or similar in a separate process. This means that the IDE will never block while completing and Code Insight will provide accurate results. 10.4 provides a much enhanced developer productivity experience when working with large projects with millions of lines of code.

DesigniteJava is a code quality assessment tool for code written in Java. It detects numerous architecture, design, and implementation smells that show maintainability issues present in the analyzed code. It also computes many commonly used object-oriented metrics. It helps you reduce technical debt and improve maintainability of your software.

Designite is a software design quality assessment tool. It analyzes C# codebase and detects a comprehensive set of architecture, design, and implementation smells. Currently, Designite supports detection of 7 common architecture, 19 design, and 11 implementation smells. Designite computes more than 30 source code metrics to gauge the structural health of a software system. Designite offers a rich set of visualizations for software developers, designers, and architects to visualize various issues affecting the maintainability of their software. These visualizations include sunburst diagram for showing detected smells, treemap diagram for visualizing the distribution of smells in a codebase, and a pie-chart of the metrics for holistically visualizing the state of the code from a specific metrics point of view. Additionally, the tool supports detection of code clones, prepares DSM (Dependency Structure Matrix), and performs trend analysis showing the number of smells remained, refactored, and introduced in a new version from its previous version.

With Delphi 10.4, Managed Records language feature was introduced. As some might remember, it was originally intended for Delphi 10.3, but Embarcadero decided to postpone the feature, to ensure a solid implementation - and now we have it!

An extension allows you to change the template to support additional feature(s) implemented in the extension. Extensions files must be placed under the subfolder "extensions" of the installation folder.
