The key features of PureBasic are portability (Windows, Linux and OS X are currently supported), the production of very fast and highly optimized executables and, of course, the very simple BASIC syntax. Process Windows Events in Loops that Take a Long Time to Run
If your code has a loop that takes a long time to run, then make sure to process Windows events by calling WindowEvent. See PureBasic WindowEvent, and PureBasic Windows Message Handling. Otherwise Windows will complain that your application has stopped responding.

The chilkatCs directory contains the C# source files for the Chilkat classes. These use the standard P/Invoke to call into a native library containing the implementation. Native shared libraries for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X are provided.
